On 4/12/2022 The Security Officers working for Hana Industries at the IRS Buildings in New Carrollton, Maryland voted unanimously to become a part of our United Federation LEOS-PBA family by a score of 31 to 0 by voting for the National Union of Special Police Officers NUSPO affiliated with the United Federation LEOS-PBA.
In a separate NLRB election the security officers working for Hana Industries @ the IRS HQ in Washington DC voted 19 to 1 in favor of United Federation LEOS-PBA.
The numbers don’t lie!
"This was a total blowout and an embarrassing loss for the Security Guard Union out of Roseville, Michigan.
Losing by a a score of 31 to 0 and 19 to 1 all on the same day only shows you that Dave Hickey President of the Security Guard Union should spend more time servicing his own members vs wasting his members dues money on personally attacking me" stated Steve Maritas Organizing Director for the United Federation LEOS-PBA
In total the United Federation LEOS-PBA and its affiliated Union National Union of Special Police Officers NUSPO WON today by a score of 50 to 1.
The unity and support shown by the Hana Industries Security Professionals from both IRS HQ in Washington DC & IRS in New Carrollton, Maryland was their shield against being misled by the incumbent security guard union out of Roseville, Michigan who have broken their many promises and trust over the years.

In next few weeks the United Federation LEOS-PBA and its affiliated Union MSA K9 Handlers Union will be meeting on the play ground once again in 5 separate elections across the country from NYC to Boston to the West Coast to the Midwest to the Southeast to decide who will have the right and privilege in representing MSA K9 Handlers nationwide.

With todays BIG WIN @ the IRS HQ in Washington DC & the IRS Facility in New Carrollton, Maryland only shows the importance of workers everywhere to have the freedom to organize and bargain collectively with the Union they choose to represent them and not be forced to stay with a Union who's only interest was to line their pockets.
