Intrepid Museum Security Officers in New York City Seek to Change Security Unions

Intrepid Museum Security Officers petitioned the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) today, Thursday, July 1, 2021. The Officers seek their independence from their current union that for years has failed them.

Most recently over 1,500 members from several units around the country have left this Union citing poor representation and its failure to service its members. This included Paragon system units in Los Angeles, Orange county, Oakland, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino and Imperial counties in California, Ronald Regan building in Washington DC, DC Water in Washington DC, Paragon Systems and Security Walls in New Orleans, LA, Braidwood Nuclear in Illinois, Ginna Nuclear in upstate New York, Trinity College and Connecticut just to name a few. Just recently the members of this particular Union also filed several petitions with the NLRB seeking to remove the Union security clause from their contracts and were successful. This included the security officers working for Paragon systems @ NASA JPL in California, Fiore in California and Meritus in the state of Washington.

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is dedicated to the exhibition and interpretation of history, science and services as related to its home aboard the aircraft carrier intrepid, a National Historic Landmark.

Presently the Law Enforcement Officers Security Unions LEOSU represents the Paragon Systems Inc protective service officers PSO's working at NYC federal buildings throughout NYC, the Bronx, Westchester and Upstate New York. The LEOSU will be assisting the Special Superior Officers Benevolent Association (SSOBA) in this organizing drive to rid themselves form its present security Union.
